Description:
Pets must be vaccinated for rabies.
- If it is the primary rabies vaccination, it must be given not less than 21 days prior to travel.
- A valid rabies certificate is also required and must accompany the APHIS Form 7001 during travel.
Certifications
Description:
A U.S. “Interstate and International Certificate of Health Examination for Small Animals” (APHIS Form 7001) may be used for pets destined to Senegal.
- The certificate should be issued within 21 days of travel.
- If the APHIS 7001 is signed by a USDA-accredited veterinarian, and their national accreditation number (NAN) is noted on the form, then the APHIS 7001 does NOT require endorsement by an APHIS federal veterinarian.
