Vaccinations
Description:

Rabies vaccination is required. The MEWA user guide indicates the vaccine must remain valid for at least six months at the time of travel/arrival.

  • Proof of current rabies vaccination.
  • Rabies vaccine validity remaining at least six months on arrival (per MEWA user guide).
  • Rabies vaccination details (date, product) should appear on the veterinary health certificate and/or vaccination record.
Certifications
Description:

An Entry/Exit Permit for Pets from the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA) is required before arrival. Applications are submitted through MEWA's online systems (Naama/Anaam).

  • Obtain MEWA import permit prior to travel.
  • Carry the approved permit to present on arrival.
Microchip

Microchip identification is required; the microchip number must appear on the veterinary health certificate and match the animal presented.
