Rabies Vaccine Requirements per EU 576/2013 Annex III
- Rabies vaccines must be administered by an authorized veterinarian.
- All pets must wait at least 21 days, or the time designated by the rabies vaccine manufacturer prior to traveling to the port of entry.
- The first rabies vaccination after microchip implantation is considered a 'primary' rabies vaccination and is only valid for 1 year.
