Vaccinations
Description:
Dogs and cats must be vaccinated against rabies twice or more after the microchip implanting.
- At least 91 days old at the time of vaccination.
- After the microchip implanting.
- More than 30 days apart from the first vaccination.
- First rabies vaccination must be given after microchip implantation
- Second rabies vaccination must be given at least 30 days after the first vaccination
- Rabies antibody test (FAVN test) required after second vaccination
- FAVN test must show antibody level of 0.5 IU/ml or higher
Certifications
Description: Required
- Must be issued by the government agency of the exporting country
- Recommended to use Form A or Form C provided by Japan
- Must include microchip number, vaccination dates, FAVN test results, and all required information
- Must have official government stamp/endorsement
Microchip
Dogs and cats must be individually identified by an ISO compliant microchip.
