Vaccinations
Description:

Rabies vaccination required for non-commercial movement to Greece (per EU rules as implemented by the Hellenic Ministry of Rural Development & Food).

  • Primary rabies vaccination may be administered at 12 weeks of age or later.
  • A minimum wait of 21 days after the primary vaccination is required before travel.
  • Entry of unvaccinated puppies/kittens/ferrets under 12 weeks is not allowed.
  • Entry of 12–16‑week animals whose rabies vaccination is not yet valid is not allowed.
Certifications
Description:

Health certificate validity per EU rules.

  • Valid for entry into the EU for 10 days from the date of issue to reach the EU point of entry.
  • After entry, valid for movement within the EU for up to 4 months or until the rabies vaccination expires, whichever occurs first.
Microchip

Pet must be identified with an ISO 11784/11785 compliant microchip. A clearly readable tattoo applied before 3 July 2011 is accepted. Identification must be in place before rabies vaccination.
