Description:
Pet birds from non‑EU countries must be accompanied by the EU veterinary certificate and meet one of the permitted movement options.
- Option 1: Pre‑departure isolation for at least 30 days under official supervision before shipment.
- Option 2: At least 14 days of pre‑departure isolation and a negative avian influenza H5/H7 test (cloacal and oropharyngeal swabs) sampled by an authorized veterinarian at least 7 days after the start of isolation.
- Option 3: Quarantine for 30 days after arrival in Estonia in accordance with the competent authority’s requirements.
- The veterinary certificate must be issued by an official veterinarian.
Microchip
Each bird must be individually identifiable (e.g., closed leg ring, tag, or microchip).
