More Info
Tick/External Parasite Treatment
Tick treatment is required at the pre-travel exam using an acceptable acaricidal product with residual action (Bermuda provides a list of acceptable and unacceptable products).
Restricted & Prohibited Breeds
Bermuda lists restricted and prohibited dog breeds; restricted breeds require additional conditions and pre-approval (see Dogs & Cats Conditions of Entry).
Inspection & Enforcement
Bermuda has no quarantine facility. Animals failing inspection or lacking proper documents are refused entry/deported; authorities may seize/humanely destroy in rare cases if directions are not followed.
Documents & Submission
Bring the Import Permit and original certificates for Customs inspection on arrival. If the veterinary certificate is electronically signed, it must be sent directly by the veterinary facility.
Notes
Where wording differs between USDA APHIS materials and Bermuda’s current conditions, defer to Bermuda DENR documents. Acceptance of 3‑year rabies formulations is not specified online—contact DENR for guidance.
Service & Support Animals
Service animals and emotional support animals must meet the same entry conditions as pet animals.
