Legal Basis

Animal imports are controlled under the Animals (Diseases and Importation) Act, Cap. 253 and the Animals (Diseases and Importation Control) Regulations, 1961. The 2014 Amendment allows the Minister, on advice of the Senior Veterinary Officer, to amend any Schedule by negative resolution.
