Vaccinations
Description: Rabies vaccination is required under the Rabies and Hydrophobia Prevention Regulations.
- The animal must be vaccinated against rabies.
- Timing: the rabies vaccination must be administered not less than 10 days and not more than 9 months (approximately 270 days) before the pre-embarkation veterinary examination.
Certifications
Description: An import permit is required under the Animal Contagious Diseases (Import Control) Regulations. The Director of Agriculture may impose conditions on permits.
- Obtain an import permit issued by the Director of Agriculture before importation.
- Submit the application via the Bahamas Customs Click2Clear OGA portal.
- Carry and present the import permit on arrival.
- Comply with all conditions listed on the import permit.
