Vaccinations
Description:

Rabies Vaccine Requirements per EU 576/2013 Annex III

  • Rabies vaccines must be administered by an authorized veterinarian.
  • All pets must wait at least 21 days, or the time designated by the rabies vaccine manufacturer prior to traveling to the port of entry.
Certifications
Description:

The EU has two versions of the pet health certificate: the "non-commercial" and the "commercial." Both health certificate versions require an Accredited Veterinarian to issue the health certificate and then USDA to endorse the health certificate before your pet's travel.

  • The USDA must endorse the completed health certificate within ten days of arriving in the EU.
Microchip

Your pet must have a working microchip (also called a “transponder”) before getting its rabies vaccination for travel to the EU.

    Ascension, United Arab Emirates, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Aruba, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Barbados, Bahrain, Bermuda, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba (the Caribbean Netherlands), Canada, Chile, Curaçao, Fiji, Falkland Islands, United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland), Guernsey, Hong Kong, Isle of Man, Jamaica, Japan, Jersey, St. Kitts and Nevis, Cayman Islands, St. Lucia, Montserrat, Mauritius, Mexico, Malaysia, New Caledonia, New Zealand, North Macedonia, French Polynesia, St Pierre and Miquelon, Singapore, St Helena, St Maarten, Sint Maarten.Helena, Sint Maarten, Trinidad and Tobago, Taiwan, United States of America (including American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands), St. Vincent and the Grenadines, British Virgin Islands, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna.
  • Rabies testing required
    All other countries not on the above list require the full rabies antibody titration test with the 3-month waiting period. This includes most countries in: ​ Africa Asia (except those listed above) Central and South America (except those listed above) Middle East (except UAE and Bahrain) Eastern Europe (except those listed above)
  • Nipah disease testing
    required for Malaysia
