Vaccinations
Assistance dogs must meet Australia’s biosecurity requirements for dogs, which typically include rabies vaccination and a compliant RNATT based on the exporting country category. Maintain vaccination validity through export and satisfy the required waiting period after the laboratory receives the sample.

Certifications

Microchip
The assistance dog must be identified by a readable ISO-compliant microchip implanted before vaccination and sampling. The microchip number must appear on all veterinary and laboratory documents.

Pets must be prepared in, and exported directly from, a DAFF-approved country (Group 1/2/3) and follow the applicable DAFF step-by-step guide.
