Compartment Carrier Details:

In-Cabin Carrier Details

At Wasaya Airways, our cabins are pet friendly! You can bring your cat or small dog in the cabin with you provided it fits comfortably in its carrier under the seat in front of you.

  • Check with your reservation agent at booking to ensure your pet carrier fits under the seat due to limited space on some aircraft.
  • Your pet in its carrier counts as one standard item toward your carry-on baggage allowance.
Pet travel restrictions: Your pet cannot travel in the cabin if you:
  • Are an unaccompanied minor
  • Are travelling with an infant
  • Are in a cabin that cannot accommodate a pet carrier
  • Are seated at a bulkhead or emergency exit row
  • Require a medical device that must be stowed under the seat

Important Information:

  • Only one pet per flight is allowed in the cabin.
  • Your pet must be at least 8 weeks old and fully weaned.
  • Your pet must remain in a closed carrier stowed under your seat at all times.
  • Arrive 30 minutes before the recommended check-in time to see an agent.

Registering your Pet:

  • Register your pet on the same flight as yours after booking.
  • Pets cannot travel unaccompanied.
  • Pre-book your pet at least 12 hours before departure to avoid disappointment.
  • Provide carrier dimensions, pet weight, and breed when registering.

Limitations:

  • Maximum combined weight of pet and carrier: 8½ lbs (4 kg).
  • Carrier size must fit under the seat and meet carry-on size limits: 9" x 12" x 16".
  • Maximum of two pets accepted per cabin; early registration is strongly recommended.
  • Unregistered pets will not be accepted at the airport.

The Pet Carrier:

  • Must be leak proof and well ventilated.
  • Soft-sided carriers are required in the cabin; hard-sided carriers are for cargo travel.
  • Must allow pet to stand, turn around, and lie down comfortably without any part extending outside.
  • Carrier must remain closed and stowed under the seat at all times.
  • Counts as one standard carry-on item.

Allergy Sufferers:

If you have allergies, please inform the check-in agent before your flight. We will try to seat you away from customers travelling with pets.

In Cargo Carrier Details

Wasaya Airways accepts household pets such as dogs and cats for carriage in the cargo compartment with prior arrangements.

  • Animals must be caged in a proper animal kennel for safety.
  • A limited liability release waiver is required for all animals due to lack of temperature control in the rear cargo hold of B1900D and PC12 aircraft.
  • Temperatures in the cargo hold can drop well below freezing despite a comfortable passenger cabin.
  • The waiver is mandatory year-round because of changing altitude temperatures.
  • Arrangements must be made at least 24 hours in advance by the shipper.
  • Animals should be odorless, harmless, and inoffensive.
  • Cages must be leak proof.
  • Pet owners are fully responsible for their live animals.
  • Live animals will not be checked beyond the point of transfer to another carrier.
  • Pets may not be interlined to another carrier; the shipper must recheck the animal with the other carrier and confirm their conditions of carriage.
  • Only one pet is allowed per cage.
