Allowed Pets

  • Only dogs, cats, and birds over 8 weeks old are allowed on board.
  • Other pets such as hamsters, rabbits, turtles, reptiles, and birds of prey are not permitted.
  • Service is not available in Business Saver Class.

Number of Pets Allowed

  • One pet per adult passenger.
  • A total of six pets per flight.
  • Pets are not permitted in Business Saver Class.

Pet Free Checked Baggage

  • One pet cart or one car seat may be checked in free of charge.
  • Non-separate, foldable small pet carts, pet carriers, and pet wheelchairs are exempt from boarding gate baggage check-in fees.
  • These items are not included in the regular free checked baggage allowance.

Terms of Use

  • Only one pet per pet carrier, except puppies and kittens (8 weeks to 6 months) can be carried with their mother in one cage.
  • Two kittens or puppies under 6 months from the same mother, and pairs of birds can be transported together in one cage.
  • Pet carriers must be stored under the seat in front of you.
  • Pets must occupy designated seats to ensure proper distance; front row, emergency exit, and Business Saver seats are not available.
  • Pets must be at least two rows away from other pets.
  • Passengers with pets cannot use online or kiosk check-in and must check in at the airport counter for inspection.

Pet Carrier Requirements

  • Total weight of pet and carrier must be less than 9kg.
  • Carrier size:
    • Hard case: max width 37cm, max height 23cm.
    • Soft case: fits under seat, max height 26cm.
    • Common standard: total of width, length, and height must not exceed 115cm.
  • Carrier must provide sufficient space for the pet to move comfortably.
  • Carrier must be highly breathable and waterproof.
  • Carrier must have a locking system that can be opened from outside in an emergency.
  • Birds must be transported in a separate steel cage covered with opaque cloth.
  • Cardboard pet carriers are not permitted on international flights.

Transportation Restrictions

  • Carrier does not meet weight or size requirements.
  • Carrier cannot be stored under the seat in front.
  • Passenger does not agree to the consent form.
  • Pet breed classified as fighting dog (e.g., American Pit Bull Terrier, Rottweiler, Doberman) on international flights.
  • Transportation restricted by country or region regulations.

Precautions

  • Feed and give water to your pet at least two hours before departure; line carrier bottom with paper, towels, blanket, or pet litter sheet.
  • Write your name and contact information (English or Korean) on the outside of the pet carrier.
  • Cooperate with cabin crew requests regarding pet handling.
  • Pets must remain inside carriers; carriers must be placed only on seats or laps as designated.
  • Passengers with pets cannot use online or kiosk check-in.
  • Pets must be in good health and at least 8 weeks old; sedatives or sleeping pills are not recommended.
  • Pets with strong odor, restlessness, aggressiveness, poor health, or pregnancy cannot be transported.
  • Dogs must wear a muzzle on international flights to prevent barking.

Additional Notices

  • Boarding may be denied due to pet health or nuisance (smell, noise) to other passengers.
  • Passengers are responsible for pet safety during transportation; the airline is not liable for accidents or injuries.
  • Inform airport staff if you wish to be seated away from other passengers with pets; subject to seat availability.
  • Inform staff if you have animal allergies at check-in.
  • Changing itinerary after applying for pet service cancels the application; reapplication is required.
  • Pets may be refused entry due to destination country laws and quarantine regulations; all related costs are passenger responsibility.

Pet Service Application and Check-in

  • Apply online (Korean website only), via Reservation Center, or at airport counter (domestic flights only).
  • Complete check-in at T'way Airlines counter on departure day including consent form and payment.
  • Required documents for international flights: pet transportation consent form, quarantine certificate, rabies and vaccination certificates.
  • Quarantine hours vary by airport; check in advance (e.g., Incheon Airport 9:00–18:00).

t'pet Coupon Stamps

  • One stamp per one-way trip with t'pet service.
  • Collect 6 stamps on domestic flights or 3 on international flights to receive a free one-way pet ticket.
  • Coupons valid for 3 years from issue date; cannot be combined or reissued if lost.
  • Domestic and international coupons cannot be used together.
