Airline Pet Policy Summary

- Pets are welcome on board, either as checked baggage or in cargo. - Only cats and dogs are permitted. Pregnant pets are not allowed. - Pets are not accepted on all Boeing 737-operated flights, Flight SQ21 from Newark to Singapore, and SQ23 from New York to Singapore. - Pets must be at least three months old. - If pet's weight with its container exceeds 32kg, it should travel via cargo.

Before You Travel

- Contact the airline at least two weeks before your departure with information on your pet. - Check your departure, transit, and arriving country's local requirements and restrictions. - Prepare necessary documents such as export license, indemnity form, veterinary health certificate, and rabies vaccination letter. - Acclimatize your pet to the container it will be traveling in. - Provide your pet a light meal and a little water 2 hours before placing it in the container.

Restrictions

- Certain dog and cat breeds are not accepted for carriage on flights. - Pets cannot be transported into or out of several destinations such as Australia, New Zealand, and Dubai.

Pet Container Requirements

- The container must be of the right size, well ventilated, and properly secured. - It must come with food and water containers. - The container's dimensions should be based on the size of your pet.

At the Airport

- Check in at least two hours before your scheduled flight departure. - Pets should be checked in at the same check-in counter as yourself. - Pets will be stored in the baggage storage and transported to the aircraft before departure.

Charges

- Pets and their containers are considered additional baggage and will incur additional baggage fees. - Charges will be determined by the total weight of your pet and its container.
