Service Animal Travel Rules

• Service dogs are exempt from the 8 kg weight and carrier size limits in cabin.
• Passengers traveling with service dogs on flights to/from the United States must provide completed U.S. Department of Transportation and Service Animal Relief Attestation Forms.
• Forms should be submitted at least 48 hours before the flight if booking in advance; otherwise, at the departure gate.
• Service dogs accompanying passengers who are partially sighted, hard of hearing, or physically disabled travel free of charge in the hold, including their crates and food, in addition to normal baggage allowance.
• Guide dogs travel free on the entire Royal Air Maroc network in addition to baggage allowance.

Note: New CDC requirements effective August 1, 2024, apply for flights to/from the U.S. regarding dog-maintained rabies virus variant (DMRVV).

In-Cabin Pet Carrier Rules

• Pets allowed in cabin: dogs, cats, birds.
• Booking must be made more than 48 hours in advance and passenger must indicate pet travel.
• Maximum combined weight of pet and container: 8 kg (except service dogs).
• Carrier must be solid with air holes and total dimensions not exceeding 115 cm (55 x 40 x 20 cm).
• Valid health, vaccination certificates, and entry/transit permits required.
• Dogs under 6 months and those without proper vaccination records are not accepted for U.S. entry.
• Pets in cabin are subject to an additional surcharge.
• Pets are not accepted in cabin on flights to the UK, on Qatar Airways chartered flights, or flights to/from Bilbao.

Certain snub-nosed breeds of cats and dogs are prohibited.

Checked/Cargo Pet Transport Rules

• Animals must be placed in a fully secure container: robust, watertight floor, lockable, with air holes, suitable size.
• Container must have luggage tag with owner name and address.
• Damaged containers or faulty locks are not accepted.
• No hay or straw inside the container.
• Passenger must indicate pet travel when booking.
• Animals and their food in hold are not included in baggage allowance; fees apply.
• Weight limits for animals in hold: up to 70 kg; above 70 kg must be transported as freight.
• Service dogs and their crates/food travel free in hold.

Pets are not accepted in hold on flights to the UK, Qatar Airways chartered flights, or flights to/from Bilbao.

Passengers must allow at least 2 hours between connecting flights to collect and re-check pets.

Passengers are responsible for compliance with destination country regulations including rabies vaccination and microchip requirements.
