Service Animals (In-Cabin & Support)

Blind, visually impaired, and hearing impaired passengers may travel with a guide dog under the following conditions:

• Guide dogs must be tied with a guide dog belt and wear a muzzle basket, sitting by the owner's legs.
• Transport of guide dogs is free of charge on Interjet flights.
• The guide dog must be requested at the time of booking or ticket purchase.
• Passengers must provide a guide dog certificate or confirmation that the dog has undergone standard training.
• Requests and documentation must be sent to the airline at least 48 hours before the flight.
• When making reservations, blind passengers (BLND) must indicate if they have a guide dog escort.
• Deaf passengers (DEAF) must also indicate if they have a guide dog escort when making reservations.

In-Cabin Carrier Details

Only small pets such as dogs and cats can be transported in the passenger cabin. Transport by unaccompanied minors is not allowed.

• Small rodents (rabbits and guinea pigs) and small tamed birds (canaries, small parrots) require prior written approval. Requests must be sent to contact.center@airmontenegro.com at least 48 hours before departure.
• Reptiles and other animals are not accepted on Air Montenegro flights.
• Pet transport in cabin is only allowed on flights operated by Air Montenegro, not on code-share flights operated by other airlines.

Passengers must provide a suitable, well-ventilated container made of hard material (plastic, fiberglass, wood, etc.) with a leak-proof bottom. Exceptionally, soft-sided carriers with a hard, leak-proof bottom or cages with canvas covers for small birds are accepted.

• Maximum combined weight of the container and animal: 8 kg.
• Container size must not exceed hand baggage dimensions: 55 x 40 x 20 cm.
• Multiple animals of the same kind can be placed in one container if total weight does not exceed the limit.
• The pet container counts as hand baggage; no additional hand baggage is allowed in the cabin.
• The container must be placed under the seat in front of the passenger.

At security, passengers must remove the pet from the container for screening, while the container is X-rayed with other baggage.

Air Montenegro passengers can book and pay online for PETC (pet traveling in passenger cabin) for dogs and cats during or after ticket purchase.

In Cargo Carrier Details

Animals that cannot be transported in the passenger cabin due to weight or size may be transported in the aircraft hold.

• The container/carrier must be large enough for the animal(s) to stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably.
• Acceptable containers are made of fiberglass or hard plastic, can be locked, and cannot be damaged by teeth or claws.
• Up to three (3) young animals of the same litter can share the same container.
• Two (2) grown animals, each weighing less than 14 kg, may share a transporter if they live together.
• The total weight of animals and container must NOT exceed 32 kg.

Maximum transporter dimensions:

• Length: 120 cm
• Width: 101 cm
• Height: 71 cm

The maximum allowed weight including the animal(s) and container is 32 kg.

Requests for transport must be sent at least 48 hours before departure.

Note: Transport of animals in the hold is only possible on flights where Air Montenegro is the operating carrier and is not accepted on code-share flights operated by another airline.
