Please note that only a limited number of small pets (cats and dogs only) are accepted in the cabin to ensure comfort for all passengers.

  • The animal must remain in a closed carrier under the seat in front of you for the entire flight.
  • The pet must be able to stand, lie down, and turn around in its natural position inside the carrier.
  • Carrier requirements:
    • Ventilated on all four sides, waterproof, lockable, and escape-proof.
    • Compliant with IATA Live Animal Regulations.
    • Maximum dimensions: 55 cm (L) x 40 cm (W) x 20 cm (H).
    • Maximum combined weight of pet and carrier: 8 kg.
  • Only one animal per carrier is allowed.
  • The carrier counts as an additional item beyond the permitted cabin baggage allowance.
  • Reservations must be made at least 24 hours prior to departure.

General Conditions

  • All required documentation (pet passport, vaccination certificates, entry permits) must be presented at check-in.
  • Transport of animals is only possible on Condor nonstop flights.
  • EU regulations require pets to be at least 4 months old for transport within the EU.
  • Pets from certain unlisted third countries must be at least 7 months old to enter the EU.
  • Sick or injured animals, or those likely to give birth during the flight or within 48 hours prior, cannot be transported.
  • Pets sedated by medication must respond when spoken to.
  • Water and food containers must be provided inside the carrier.
  • The carrier must have a watertight base lined with absorbent material; mesh roofs are not permitted.
  • Transportation may be refused at check-in if the carrier does not meet size or IATA requirements.
  • Temperature in the cargo hold is approximately 10°C on short- and medium-haul flights, and 18-23°C on long-haul flights; ventilation is provided on all routes.
  • Different rules may apply for flights operated by other airlines or codeshare flights.
  • Animal transports for commercial purposes are excluded.

Condor allows a limited number of dogs and cats on their aircraft. Each animal must be transported in a ventilated, waterproof, escape-proof carrier that complies with IATA Live Animals Regulations.

  • Required information for cargo hold transport:
    • Weight of the animal including the carrier
    • Exact dimensions of the carrier
    • Breed of the dog (mandatory for dog transport)
  • Reservations for animal transport in the hold must be made up to 48 hours before departure.
  • Animal transport in the hold is only possible on direct flights; transfer between connecting flights is not allowed.
  • Carrier size for dog/cat in cargo hold: 80 cm length × 55 cm width × 100 cm height.

Requirements for a Pet in the Cargo Hold

The container must:

  • Be stable, escape-proof, and clean
  • Have a waterproof base lined with absorbent material inside
  • Be equipped with water and feeding facilities
  • Have ventilation on all four sides

  • Book your pet's transportation online in advance. Pets are only accepted with a confirmed reservation and must be traveling with a booked passenger.
  • Only one dog or cat per carrier. Carrier size should not exceed 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm.
  • Pets should stay in their closed container under the seat in front throughout the flight.
  • The carrier box, including the pet, may weigh up to 8 kg.
  • Charges for pets in cabin are €59.99 for pets weighing up to 8 kg, including their carrier. Unregistered pets will incur an additional fee of €60.01 per flight.
  • Pets in cargo hold must be in ventilated, waterproof, escape-proof carriers that comply with IATA Live Animal Regulations. Reservations for cargo hold transport must be made up to 48 hours before departure and are only available on direct flights.
  • Pets can only be transported on nonstop flights. Pets transported in the EU must meet age and health requirements.
  • Fighting breeds (Pitbull Terrier, Staffordshire Bullterrier, and Mastiff) and snub-nosed breeds (Bulldogs, Pugs, and Persian cats) are not accepted due to health risks.
  • Pets cannot be transported on flights to/from Antigua, Barbados, and China. Stricter regulations for blood tests and vaccinations apply for UK, Ireland, Sweden, and Malta destinations.
  • Condor has a zero-tolerance policy towards the transport of endangered and threatened species and any products associated with illegal wildlife activities.
  • Condor cannot be held liable for non-compliance with regulations or incomplete documentation provided by passengers.
