Service Animals (In-Cabin & Support)

Only dogs are allowed as service animals (SVAN).

• Guide dogs must be harnessed and wear an identifying tag.
• Acceptance depends on the animal's size.
• Animals must be presented at check-in at least 2 hours before departure.
• Service animals must be at least 8 weeks old.
• Animals should behave in public and obey their owner's orders.
• The pet must remain sitting on the floor opposite the owner's seat throughout the flight.
• No additional charges apply for service animals.
• There is no limit on flight hours for service animals.
• If needed, cleaning onboard due to the pet is the customer's responsibility, considering the customer's physical or motor abilities.
• If the pet misbehaves, the airline may request information about the animal's training.

Emotional Support Animals

Dogs and cats are allowed on board as emotional support pets.

Guidelines

• Pets must weigh no more than 26 lbs (12 kg) and be no larger than 22 in long x 12 in tall.
• Acceptance is subject to the animal's size.
• Animals must be at least 8 weeks old.
• Animals must be presented at the check-in counter at least 2 hours prior to departure.
• Animals may be trained or untrained to perform visible functions.
• Animals must behave correctly in public places, similar to service animals.
• Customers are responsible for cleaning up after their animals on the aircraft.

Restrictions

• Only one service animal is accepted per customer, except on flights to the United States.
• Emotional support animals must remain in the passenger's lap or under the seat in front throughout the flight and must not obstruct other passengers or aisles.
• Feeding or giving fluids to the pet on board is prohibited; onboard food is only for passengers.
• Animals cannot be placed on seats, even if empty.
• If a nearby passenger has allergies or similar issues, seating adjustments may be made or the passenger with the animal may be placed on a different flight without charge or penalties; no compensation applies.
• A pet carrier is not required if the animal is properly trained and meets service animal requirements.
• Only one pet may be carried onboard per passenger, including emotional support and service animals (no combination of multiple pets allowed).
• For connecting flights, the service animal must travel on all segments of the original booking.
• Unaccompanied minors cannot travel with emotional support animals.

Animals Not Allowed

• Rodents and variants (mice, rats, hamsters, gerbils, reptiles, guinea pigs).
• Birds and small-pocket pets such as hedgehogs, rabbits, chinchillas, prairie dogs, and ferrets.

Emotional Support Animals Traveling to London

Emotional support animals are not allowed on flights to London.

In-Cabin Carrier Details

To travel with your pet in the cabin, the carrier must meet the following requirements:

• Flexible or soft plastic bag type.
• Inner base made of one-piece absorbent material.
• Adequate ventilation.
• Enough space for the pet to turn around and lie down naturally.
• Only one dog or cat allowed per carrier.

Measurements apply to all aircraft types.

The container must be approved for air transport. The total weight allowed is 9 kg, including the pet and the carrier.
